The nightmare was a nightmare for Prisons

An extra minute goal by Peter Mapunda enabled Mbeya City to leave with three crucial points against Tanzania Prisons in a Premier League match played at Sokoine Stadium in the city.

The game was the first for the teams in Mbeya where despite each side fighting to find the goal, but until Prisons did not believe what they found.

Even the Jelajela fans who were present at the stadium hoping to score one point, left holding their heads after 90 minutes.

However, despite the result, Mbeya City will blame themselves for failing to make good use of the open space they had in different minutes that would have given them an advantage and left with a victory over the goal.

In the first half Mbeya City missed goals through Eliud Ambokile in the 16th and 50th minutes then Juma Luizio also missed in the 24th minute while Prisons also tried to make an attack but to no avail.

The result makes Mbeya City set a record against their brothers as last season the teams were not tied for all matches. For other match results, you can visit Meridianbet.

  1. Hey there just wanted to give you a quick heads up. The words in your article seem to be running off the screen in Ie. I’m not sure if this is a format issue or something to do with web browser compatibility but I thought I’d post to let you know. The style and design look great though! Hope you get the problem fixed soon. Cheers
